Spartans, tonight, we dine in hell!

Plot Outline:
Based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel, “300″ concerns the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the massive army of Persians. 300 of Spartan soldiers are chosen to meet the Persians at Thermopylae, engaging the soldiers in a narrow canyon where they cannot take full advantage of their numbers. The battle is a suicide mission, meant to buy time for the rest of the Greek forces to prepare for the invasion. The battle inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians, and helped usher in the world’s first democracy.

Review:
Gordon:
I love this show! The part of the show that first made me WOW was the starting battle where the Spartans fought with the Persian footmen. It is very obvious they are out-numbered but at the end of that battle the Spartans won hands down without losing a single man. The way the Spartans fought is very impressive and that battle alone is worth a watch already. I shall not reveal too much of the show so go catch it yourself! Best war movie without modern machines I have watched!
4 stars.

Gerlynn:
Kh thinks this movie is better than Troy. I don’t know about that. Haven’t seen Troy myself. Anyway, I love the graphics and the Spartan spirit. I love the part when the king asked the Greek soldiers,”What is your profession?” One said,”Goldsmith”, and another “Potter”. And when the king asked,”Spartans! What is your profession?”, it was responded by a loud “OOH-AH!” (meaning ‘warriors’ I guess?). Impressive film. I never thought I’d enjoy a war movie this much. =)
